Amy Miller has led the public programs team for over ten years. Previously she was the Public Education Manager for the Smithsonian’s National Zoo in Washington, D.C. for approximately a decade. Amy currently oversees a team of 25 staff and 400 volunteer educators. This team is responsible for over 30 programs and activities a day and three special spaces that reach over 2.2 million guests annually. Externally, Amy serves on the Association of Zoos and Aquariums' Diversity Committee, and functions as the regional liaison for conservation education and volunteer management staff at zoos and aquariums within CA and Hawaii.
