Maria Durana is the Director of the San Francisco Children & Nature collaborative. Working through the San Francisco Recreation & Parks Department and within a cross-sector collaborative of over 35 government agencies, nonprofits, and community organizations, Maria works to ensure equitable access to nature for youth in San Francisco through policy, programming and design. Combining her passion for parks and people, she has previously worked at the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy and at KABOOM, leading community-built playground projects. She earned her BSc. and Masters in Architecture from McGill University.
