Brian serves as Chief of Planning & Environmental Programs at the Golden Gate National Recreation Area in San Francisco. He and his colleagues manage almost 80,000 acres of coastal parklands in the Bay Area, encompassing diverse and iconic places like Muir Woods, Crissy Field, and Alcatraz Island. GGNRA is among the most heavily visited units in the National Park system, welcoming nearly 16 million visitors yearly. To address the complex planning, design, and environmental cleanup issues, Brian draws upon his masters and bachelor’s degrees in landscape architecture, a decade of teaching in California universities, and experience in multidisciplinary professional offices.
