Rochelle Wheeler has been practicing transportation planning for over twenty-five years, with a focus on bicycle and pedestrian planning. She is currently a Senior Transportation Planner with the City of Alameda, working on bicycle and pedestrian planning, projects and programs, including managing the development of the City’s Active Transportation Plan, its Slow Streets program and major segments of the Cross Alameda Trail. She has worked for multiple local jurisdictions and consulted to local, county and transit agencies. Rochelle led the initial development of Berkeley’s bicycle boulevard network and also the first Alameda Countywide Pedestrian Plan.
