Laurie Olin is a founding partner of OLIN, Landscape Architecture and Urban Design, whose projects include Bryant Park in New York, The J Paul Center Los Angeles, the grounds of the Washington Monument, in Washington DC, Director Park in Portland Oregon, the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia, and Apple Park in Cuperitino, California. He is Professor in Practice Emeritus in the Department of Landscape Archtecture at University of Pennsylvania, where he taught for forty years. He is the recipient of the ASLA Medal for his distinguuisshed career and in 2008 President Obama awarded him the National Medal of Art.
