Alda Chan is a Planner with a passion for planning vibrant open spaces and building climate resilience. As Director of Resiliency at NYC Parks, she has facilitated a number of the agency’s Post-Hurricane Sandy Recovery projects, waterfront redevelopment initiatives, and long-term climate resilience planning efforts. In addition to Pier 42, she has facilitated complex resiliency and waterfront efforts including the East Side Coastal Resiliency Project, the Manhattan Greenway Harlem River Project, and the East Harlem Resiliency Study. Alda holds a Master in Urban Planning from New York University and a B.A. from Williams College.
