Cortney Kirk, ASLA, is a Senior Planner in the Public Space & Urban Forestry Division for the City of Somerville. After spending over ten years in the private sector as a Landscape Architect she joined the City as their first Streetscape and Public Space Planner. She manages the Union Square plaza and streetscape project, non-traditional public space projects such as the Kensington Connector and co-manages the Civic Space zoning reviews for private development. Cortney holds a master's degree in Landscape Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design and a Bachelor's in Television, Radio, and Film production from Syracuse University.
