Understanding the value and need of accessible, well-designed urban spaces,Susan’s work has focused on creating public places of lasting positive impact.With a honed expertise lying at the intersection of complex planning, design and living systems,her skills have been demonstrated in myriad typologies and locales including Philadelphia’s iconic Ben Franklin Parkway,Mission Bay in San Francisco,Cleveland’s Green Over Gray,Silicon Valley TechCampuses and healing gardens for Johns Hopkins Hospital.Susan’s research,writing and speaking features many of her landscapes over structure including Chicago’s Willis Tower and Roof Gardens, Philadelphia Museum of Art Sculpture Garden,Dilworth Park the 2020 ASLA Award of Excellence for Urban Design winner.
