Deborah is the Chief Deputy City Engineer and the highest-ranking architect for the City of Los Angeles. She provides design and management leadership for an integrated architecture and engineering organization of approximately 800 people, with 400 active projects totaling $4 B.
The projects in her current portfolio include homeless facilities, Los Angeles River projects, a master plan for a decommissioned urban reservoir, cultural facilities such as public theaters, historic restorations such as the Hollyhock House complex, a plan to reconfigure the Hollywood Walk of Fame, recreational buildings, pools, parks, maintenance yards, Police and Fire facilities, and pedestrian and vehicular bridges.
