Victor F. “Trey” Trahan, III, FAIA, is the Founder and CEO of Trahan Architects, established in 1992. Trey is continually exploring ways to cultivate generosity and inclusiveness in our relationships with each other and with our environments. He has pushed the practice of architecture to include far more than the built environment and approaches design first as a humanitarian, and then as an architect. As such, in 2021 he co-founded an independent nonprofit research and design agency investigating spatial infractions of democracy within the built environment. Trey was selected as the 2021 Laureate for The American Prize for Architecture.
