This session explores how workplace culture affects workplace equity and the need to shift beyond equity awareness towards fostering more professional growth opportunities for women and people of color. Whether you’re a manager/principal or early in your career, you’ll learn about success stories and specific strategies tailored for landscape architecture.

Become familiar with current research about what employees most value in the workplace and the reasons why people stay with or leave jobs.
Examine demographic data for different stages in the landscape architecture career pipeline, and learn how your organization compares to the profession as a whole.
Assess your own workplace to understand where you are on the Workplace Equity continuum, from awareness to power shift, as a baseline for taking action.
Explore professional development strategies and success stories to apply to your own workplace and career journey, whether you are an employee, a manager, or a founder.
