In preparation for climate change and its potential to displace thousands of US residents over the next 50 years, funding is shifting away from reactive spending and toward proactive investment in long-term community resilience. Panelists will discuss working across scales and agencies to reduce people’s social, environmental, and economic risk.

Understand climate migration trends to encourage proactive preparation and design.
Understand both the physical and social complexities of planning with a community for migration.
Understand the characteristics that reduce social, environmental, and economic risks, and increase resilience to climate change.
Learn how to proactively and strategically direct resilience funding to receiving communities to reduce the risk for frontline communities and increase the quality of life for all residents.
