St. John's University
Professor Mellissa Bortz is employed in the Communication Science Disorders Department at St John’s University. She teaches undergraduate, graduate and global exchange courses. Her research laboratory focuses on development of multilingual assessment materials and fluency disorders. She is the facilitator of the St John’s National Students Speech Language Hearing Association Chapter. She is originally from South Africa where she taught, conducted research and engaged in clinical practice. She is a member of ASHA.
