Ishara Ramkissoon, Ph.D., CCC-A is Associate Professor at Gallaudet University and teaches in the Doctor of Audiology program. She practiced clinically for 11 years as an Audiologist and Speech Therapist. Dr. Ramkissoon’s research investigates multicultural, aging, and environmental variables using evoked potentials and diagnostic audiometry. Her professional focus is cultural responsiveness. Dr. Ramkissoon currently serves ASHA as a member of the International Issues Board and journal Editor for Perspectives SIG 8 (Public Health Audiology).
