An experienced senior speech-language pathologist, her research underpins international clinical rehabilitation guidelines. She is the founding chair of the Virtual International Stroke Trials Archive for rehabilitation trials and the Collaboration of Aphasia Trialists, which supports 270 aphasia researchers and projects spanning 40 countries. An Associate Editor with a Cochrane Editorial Group, her systematic reviews are amongst the top 10 most accessed reviews internationally. Her own research includes randomised controlled trials and meta-analyses of complex interventions.
