Dr. Adele May is a speech-language pathologist with a special interest in interventions that focus on functional, real-life outcomes for persons with communication disabilities. She holds a PhD in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), from the Centre for AAC at the University of Pretoria. Her research primarily focuses on developing interventions for persons with severe communication disabilities through the application of approaches that are evidence-based, person-centered, and participatory in design.
