Jared is a second-year medical student at LSUHSC in New Orleans. Prior to his acceptance, he majored in Biological Sciences at LSU in Baton Rouge. While there, he worked on research to detect the prevalence of Jamestown Canyon Virus in Louisiana. Jared’s greatest interests in medicine lie in the intersection of healthcare and the human experience as well as the ethics and responsibility to the other as seen in the philosophy of Emmanuel Levinas.
