Amanda Haverfield is a 2nd year speech-language pathology student at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. She is a former educator and aspiring speech language pathologist. Through six years of being a special education teacher, partnering with families and in collaboration with other related service providers, she has seen the impact communication plays in the lives of those with disabilities.
