Dr. Nicolaidis is Professor of Social Work at Portland State University and of Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University; the Co-Director of the Academic Autism Spectrum Partnership in Research and Education (AASPIRE; www.aaspire.org); and the founding Editor-in-Chief of Autism in Adulthood (www.liebertpub.com/aut). She uses participatory approaches to improve the health and wellbeing of marginalized populations, including autistic adults. She also practices hospital-based internal medicine and mentors many students and faculty members around the world.

•As Editor-in-Chief (EIC) of Autism in Adulthood, I receive a stipend from the journal's publishers, Mary Ann Liebert, Inc., each time the journal is published (4 times a year). They invited me to become the EIC in 2017, and I have received stipends since we began publication of the journal in 2019. I expect this relationship to continue for at least the next few years.
