Lissa Power-deFur, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, BCS-CL, ASHA-F is professor Communication Sciences and Disorders and Interim Dean of the College of Education, Health, and Human Services. She previously served as director in special education/ student services at the Virginia Department of Education. She is co-author of a book and co-presenter on the topic of SLPs serving as expert witnesses. She is an active volunteer for the profession, serving on the board of ASHA and her state association.
