Hasini Weerathunge is a speech scientist and a doctoral student in Stepp Lab for Sensorimotor Rehabilitation Engineering at Boston University. Her overarching research goal is to apply neuro-engineering to enhance the quality of life of individuals with communication disorders that affect voice and speech. As a graduate research assistant in Stepp lab, her research is focused on sensorimotor and kinematic characterization and modeling of speech motor control in individuals with voice and speech disorders.
