This session presents the results of a small scale study investigating the effects of practice distribution on two speech sound production outcomes in an elementary school setting. After one year, there was not a significant difference between students receiving two 30 minute sessions and those receiving four 15 minute sessions on the percentage of IEP goals mastered or on the percentage of consonants produced correctly in isolation. Implications for school-based service delivery will be presented as well as challenges and benefits to conducting research in applied settings.
