This session will focus upon the collaborative treatment approach of speech-language pathologists, endocrinologists and ENT/plastic surgeons in the care of individuals who are transgender. The continuum of care from gender affirming hormone therapy to voice evaluation and treatment to laryngeal surgery for pitch adjustment to facial feminization surgery will be reviewed. Attendees will learn voice therapy approaches to use in their practice. Video recording of therapy techniques with clients as well as intra operative laryngeal surgery to improve pitch will be used to enhance the presentation.
