5029V - A Consultative Model for the Implementation of Ultrasound Visual Feedback

This session provides an overview of an ultrasound visual feedback (UVF) implementation model currently being utilized by the Speech-Language Pathology Clinic at the University of Northern Colorado (UNC). We will provide an overview of the evidence base for UVF and discuss the barriers to implementation of UVF in various clinical settings. We will then review the consultative approach that has been used at UNC to improve access to UVF for individuals with speech sound disorders in the local community and the greater Colorado area. We will review a case study example, provide a template for documentation of UVF consultations, and discuss potential applications for various clinical settings.
