This session is developed by, and presenters invited by, Leadership and Professional Issues. Midcareer leaders play a complex role in the workforce. This session aims to equip such leaders—those who have sought out leadership, those who have been delegated leadership roles, and those who aspire to assume more leadership responsibility—with tools to support this unique stage in career development. Participants will have the opportunity to apply leadership skills in the areas of leading from the middle, strategic network building, and work/life integration through examples and personal reflection. Further, the session will highlight how identity and intersectionality contribute to inclusive leadership. Participants will leave with strategies that can be implemented immediately so we can thrive as resilient and authentic leaders alongside teams that are empowered, happy, and productive.
