2000V - Applying Implementation Frameworks to Improve Use of Outcome Measures Across Day Rehabilitation Programs

Despite the value of outcome measures for demonstrating value of services and driving clinical-decision making, there is not widespread adoption in routine clinical practice in speech-language pathology. For this clinical project, we selected, implemented and assessed the success of our implementation efforts for a novel set of outcome measures at our day rehabilitation level of care. We applied two implementation frameworks – the Knowledge-to-Action Cycle (KTA) (Graham et al., 2006) and the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR) (Damschroder et al., 2019) – to support the implementation process, categorize implementation determinants, and evaluate our implementation outcomes. In this session, we will describe these implementation frameworks and how they were used to guide this clinical project.
