Dr Blessed Winston, MD is a physician turned Clinical Pharmacologist. He completed his MBBS and MD from Christian Medical College, Vellore, India and worked as a Clinical Pharmacology faculty in the same institute. His interest in PK PD modelling stems from the plethora of unanswered questions in tropical infectious diseases despite the availability of rich data in this field. He is presently a postdoc with the Modelling and Simulation team in the Division of Clinical Pharmacology at the Indiana University School of Medicine. Presently, his work involves the study of the effect of multiple covariates including genotypes on the acute PKPD and chronic effects of a variety of opioids in children undergoing major surgeries, primarily using PKPD modelling.
He has been a member of ASCPT for the past 2 years. He loves the bedside and has a great passion for the immediately translational or the bedside part of PK PD modelling, Model Informed Precision Dosing.
