Melissa Thomas, A.A., PharmD Candidate is a pharmacy student at the University of Florida. Her interests are in pharmacometrics and clinical research. She has experience working with the FDA Division of Applied Regulatory Science (DARS) where she investigated and resolved errors in the methodology of a clinical trial design. She performed statistical analysis to help determine the variability between patient data. Her contributions with the DARS study design will be used to create future models to improve FDA regulations of prescription advisory warning labels. Melissa has also contributed significantly to literature analysis for a Nemour’s Children Hospital research study which led to the development of a drug dosing simulation for pediatric patients. Additionally, she was involved in a project related with the development of a quantitative model-based clinical trial simulator tool informing clinical trial designs.
