Dr. Jason Bugno, PharmD, PhD, is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow and Resident Pharmacist at the University of Chicago. He earned his PharmD and PhD from the University of Illinois at Chicago. His postdoctoral work focuses on pharmacologically targeting the innate immune system in the treatment of cancer and to augment the antitumor activity of radiotherapy. His graduate work focused on the design of nanoparticles with highly precise biodistributions for targeting cancers. He has published both original resaerch and review articles in this area and presented at national chemistry, pharmacology, and pharmacy meetings. He has been an ASCPT member since 2019, and works on translational and precision oncology research, serving on the Pharmacy Reesearch Task Force and as a fellow in the Committee on Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacogenomics.
