Megan Koleske, BS, is currently a PhD candidate in the lab of Kathy Giacomini at the University of California, San Francisco, affliated with the Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmacogenomics graduate program and the Department of Bioengineering and Therapeutic Sciences. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences from The Ohio State University in 2017. Her thesis work focuses on large scale functional and spatial characterization of rare genetic variants in transporter genes in the SLC22 family to inform predictive models relevant in pharmacogenetics and rare disease diagnostics. She has been a member of ASCPT since 2019 and was grateful to be a recipient of the Jason Morrow, M.D., Presidential Trainee Award in 2021.
