My name is Omowumi Akinjole, a pharmaceutical science and chemistry doctoral candidate at the Univesity of Missouri-Kansas city, School of Pharmacy. My research interests entails development of novel drug delivery systems for HIV/AIDS and cancer therapeutics, developing new formulations for existing active pharmaceutical ingredients (API), and formulation and characterization of novel and innovative leading compounds as inhibitors of viral entry, with experience working on developing and evaluating nano and small molecule delivery systems. In addiion,I am a graduate teaching assistant involved in delivering pharmaceutics laboratory lectures to the Doctor of pharmacy (Pharm D) students.
