LI Jin, M.D., Ph.D., is currently a chief physician and a professor, and the director of the Department of Oncology at Shanghai East Hospital, Tongji University. He earned his doctorate from Naval Medical University (formerly the Second Military Medical University), and conducted postdoctoral research in tumor gene therapy and biotherapy at Yale University. His current research focuses on the treatment of malignant gastrointestinal tumors, with special expertise in molecular targeted therapy and immunotherapy. In recent years, he has published more than 32 papers as the first or corresponding author. He is the chairperson of the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology (CSCO) and the Federation of Asian Clinical Oncology (FACO), and a committee member of the Asia Medical Education Initiative on Molecular Targeted Therapy of Cancer (MTTC) and the Cancer Clinical Chemotherapy Committee of China Anti-cancer Association. He was awarded the second prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of Ministry of Education in 2015, and the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2016.
