Dr. Akihiro Yamada, PharmD is currently a senior manager, Clinical Pharmacology and Exploratory Development in Astellas Pharma Inc.
He earned his PharmD Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo and then started his career as a preclinical DMPK scientist at Astellas Pharma Inc. in 2010. He worked as preclinical PKPD modeling and simulation scientist and now he works as a pharmacometrician in Clinical Pharmacology and Exploratory Development. He experienced Quantitative Systems Pharmacology modeling as a visiting scientist at Leiden Academic Center for Drug Research in 2015, and he has led mechanistic modeling activites in Astellas Pharma Inc.
