Manoli Vourvahis, PharmD, is a Senior Director within the Pfizer Clinical Pharmacology group and serves as the Pfizer clinical pharmacology point of contact for drug-drug interaction (DDI) strategies and initiatives including work with endogenous biomarkers and extracellular vesicles/exosomes. He has more than 15 years of drug development experience, predominantly in HIV/anti-infectives, and has published over 40 abstracts at scientific conferences and over 40 manuscripts in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Dr. Vourvahis serves on the Industry Liaison Board of the International Workshop on Clinical Pharmacology of HIV, Hepatitis and Other Antiviral Drugs, served on multiple DDI focused working groups sponsored by the International Consortium for Innovation and Quality (IQ) in Pharmaceutical Development as well as serving as a reviewer for many peer-reviewed clinical pharmacology journals including those in the ASCPT journal family. He also serves on the steering committee and lectures on Drug Metabolism/Pharmacogenomics/DDIs for the Pfizer Pharmaceutical Medicines Elective for medical students. Dr. Vourvahis received his Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) in 2004 from Northeastern University in Boston and in 2007 completed a drug development/clinical pharmacology fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill/GlaxoSmithKline.
