Dr. Stella Sze Wa Chan is currently an Associate Professor at the School of Health Sciences, Caritas Institute of Higher Education in Hong Kong. Dr. Chan obtained her Bachelor's degree in Biology from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and her Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the Hong Kong Baptist University. She received her Ph.D. degree in Pharmacology from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2009 and completed post-doctoral training at the School of Biomedical Sciences and then at the Division of Clinical Pharmacology, Department of Medicine and Therapeutics, CUHK. Her major research interests are on understanding the mechanism of drug interaction on the brain-gut axis that involved in the regulation of emesis and feeding. Dr. Chan has been recognized as a Chartered Biologist by the Royal Society of Biology and serve as the Vice-chairlady of the Royal Society of Biology Hong Kong Branch.
