Dr. Lisa Varughese, PharmD is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania. She earned her PharmD from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and then completed a PGY1 residency at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. Afterwards, she joined the University of Pennsylvania to undergo a pharmacogenomics research fellowship and currently oversees a prospective clinical trial evaluating the implementation of DPYD and UGT1A1 pharmacogenetic testing at Penn Medicine. Dr. Varughese received a NIH TL1 Clinical and Translational Science Award to support her research training and complete coursework for a Master of Science in Regulatory Science from the University of Pennsylvania. She has been a member of ASCPT since 2019 and is interested in drawing in her regulatory and implementation experiences to continue integrating pharmacogenomics into routine care.
