Marc Pfister MD is a Professor of Pharmacometrics and Pharmacology, Medical Faculty, University of Basel, Co-Chair of the Pediatric Pharmacology Department at the Children’s University Hospital Basel (UKBB), Head of SwissPedPha, the Swiss Platform for Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics Research in Pediatrics (www.swisspednet.ch), and serves as a Vice-President in Integrated Drug Development (iDD) at Certara. In the pediatric pharmacology and research center at UKBB he and his research group apply innovative pharmacometrics, machine learning and other AI based approaches to develop bedside clinical decision support systems with the goal to enhance and personalize treatments in neonates, infants, children, and adolescents. Marc is co-founder of the American Conference on Pharmacometrics and the International Society of Pharmacometric (ISoP). He has been a member of ASCPT since 20 years and contributed to ASCPT in various roles, e.g. as a previous Chair of the Pharmacometrics section at ASCPT.
