Mrs. Marika de Hoop-Sommen, PharmD, is currently working on her second year of PhD at the department of Pharmacology and Toxicology of the Radboud university medical center in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Her PhD is on model-informed drug-dosing in pediatrics, using physiologically-based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modelling to increase the reliability of pediatric off-label dosing recommendations. In addition to her PhD, she has been working for the Dutch Pediatric Formulary for nearly ten years, developing (off-label) dosing recommendations for children.
