Dr. Ahmed Othman is an executive director of Clinical Pharmacology at Gilead Sciences overseeing the clinical pharmacology and pharmacometrics support for Gilead’s oncology and inflammation portfolios.
Dr. Othman received his bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences from Cairo University and his doctorate in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Maryland Baltimore. Dr. Othman published 86 original research articles and 106 peer-reviewed abstracts that were presented at international scientific meetings. Dr. Othman is a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacology and Gilead’s clinical pharmacology lead for the International Consortium of Innovation and Quality in Pharmaceutical Development. Dr. Othman is a past co-chair of the AAPS Biomarkers in Translational Medicine focus group and is an advisory board member for Indiana University Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute.
