Dr. Lakshmi Manasa Chekka is a ORISE Post Doctoral fellow in the Division of Applied Regulatory Sciences, CDER, FDA. She received her PharmD from Manipal University, India (2016) and her PhD from University of Florida, College of Pharmacy (2021). Her research interests include pharmacogenomics and epigenomics, biomarker discovery through omics data analysis such as microRNA-omics, proteomics, DNA methylation, and racial/ethnic differences in drug responses. She is a receipent of the American Heart Association Predoctoral Fellowship during her term as PhD Candidate at University of Florida. She has been an active member of ASCPT since 2017, currently serving on the Biomarkers and Translational Tools Community Steering Committee as the Communications Chair, as well as an annual meeting abstract and program reviewer and manuscript reviewer for ASCPT journals.
