Dr. Susan Abdel-Rahman is the former Marion Merrell Dow/Missouri Chair in Pediatric Clinical Pharmacology, Professor of Pediatrics at the UMKC-School of Medicine, Director of Health Care Innovation for the Children’s Research Institute, Chief of the Section of Therapeutic Innovation at Children’s Mercy Hospital, and Program Director for an NIH funded T32 fellowship in Pediatric Clinical Pharmacology. She completed undergraduate and graduate training at Rutgers University and a post-doctoral fellowship at the Ohio State University. Dr. Rahman has been involved in translational and clinical research for over 25 years with grants/contracts from the National Institutes of Health, U.S. Food and Drug Administration, World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control, National Endowment for the Arts, Pharmaceutical Industry and Private foundations. She currently serves as a scientific advisor and Chief Scientific Officer for a healthcare technology start-up and remains active in her service role as Chair of the Drug Utilization Review Board for the state of Missouri’s Medicaid program. Sue is the immediate Past-President of ASCPT.
