Takeda
Angelia (Angie) Wang, MS is currently an Applied Math PhD candidate at Northwestern University and recently interned at Takeda Pharmaceuticals with the Cell Therapy Translational Engine team. Both her current research and internship work use computational approaches to better understand biological processes. At Northwestern, she focuses on modeling early sensory systems, specifically in how mechanistic interactions within the olfactory bulb highlight differences in otherwise similar activity patterns. At Takeda, she developed a unified PBPK-PD model to characterize biological data simultaneously in mouse and cancer patient populations, with the goal of better understanding how cell distribution and efficacy translate between species. Longer-term, she is broadly interested in utilizing mathematical modeling to address questions in the health sciences, with special interest in model-based drug development.
