Megan Gibbs is currently the Vice President, Global Head of Clinical Pharmacology and Quantitative Pharmacology at AstraZeneca. In this role, she leads an organisation of 200+ R&D scientists and supports all ongoing clinical drug development programmes and global market applications across Oncology, Antimicrobials, Cardiovascular, Respiratory and Immunology. Her key focus is use of quantitative methods to impact drug development decision making. Prior to joining AstraZeneca, Megan worked at AbbVie where she was the Vice President of Clinical Pharmacology supporting clinical pharmacology and pharmacometrics for both large and small molecule drug projects across all therapy areas. Megan also spent ten years at Amgen as a Senior Leader in Clinical Pharmacology after completing her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Drake University followed by a PhD in Pharmaceutics from the University of Washington.
Megan is a Fellow of Clinical Pharmacology and has served on number of scientific boards including the American College of Clinical Pharmacology Board of Regents, University of Washington Corporate Advisory Board and University of Florida Systems Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics Leadership Council. She also has over 100 posters, publications and invited presentations to date.
Megan lives in Boston with her family. Outside of work, she enjoys skiing, mountain biking and fishing.
