Dr. Aruna Dontabhaktuni has 26 years of extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. She is the Founder and CEO of PharmaPro Consulting. Her company specializes in Clinical Pharmacology, Regulatory Affairs, and Pharmacometrics.
Dr. Dontabhaktuni is also the Founder and Scientific Director of “Project Dontabhaktuni”, a nonprofit organization created to support upcoming scientists from countries like India and South Africa by providing free workshops/trainings and mentoring programs.
Dr. Dontabhaktuni’s education includes a Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences from Long Island University, Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy, New York City and Bachelors’ in Pharmacy from Karnataka Pharmacy Collage, India.
Dr. Dontabhaktuni is the Chair of the International Society of Pharmacometrics (ISoP) local group, Biologics Community Steering Committee Vice-Chair for the American Society of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (ASCPT). Reviewer for British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology.
Her awards and recognitions include “Appreciation Certificate” from American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists, “Above and Beyond Award” from AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, two “Spotlight Recognition Award” from Eli Lilly and Company, two “Extraordinary Effort Award” from ImClone Systems. “The Pharma Ratna Award” for her extraordinary work in Pharmaceutical sciences by Rab Di Meher an NGO based in India. “The Stem Forward Award” at 2021 MIDD+ conference by Simulations Plus.
Dr. Dontabhaktuni is recognized as a thought leader in Clinical Pharmacology, Regulatory Affairs, and has given plenary/keynote speeches at numerous national and international conferences. She has published more than 45 manuscripts and abstracts. Her current research interests include expedited FDA approvals, pediatric clinical pharmacology, and the use of mathematical modeling tools in saving time and money in drug development. She is also extremely passionate about making a difference and increasing the presence of woman in science and woman in leadership roles.
Aruna is a fitness buff, loves to cook and entertain, and enjoys taking adventurous vacations.
