Dr. Chao Han is a Scientific Director of Biologics Development Sciences at Janssen R&D, LLC. He had been a director in Biologics Clinical Pharmacology at Janssen and a DMPK Head, Section Head of Pharmacokinetics and In Vivo Technology at GSK. Chao received his post-graduate training at the School of Pharmacy, UCSF. He was awarded a Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Therapeutics at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Manitoba. He has been very active in biologics early development and safety. He has published over 40 research articles in peer-reviewed journals and 6 book chapters, and was the lead editor of the book “Evaluation of Drug Candidates for Preclinical Development.” He recently coauthored an IQ white paper on the Strategies and Recommendations for Using a Data‐Driven and Risk‐Based Approach in the Selection of First‐in‐Human Starting Dose.
