Dr. Lakshmi Vasist, PharmD, is currently Director of Clinical Pharmacology Modeling & Simulation at GSK. She earned her PharmD from The Ohio State University, completed her residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and the Clinical PK/PD fellowship at UNC Chapel Hill and GSK. Since joining GSK in 2006, she has had the good fortune to work as the clinical pharmacology lead to numerous programs in a range of therapy areas, including oncology, hematology, dermatology, GI, metabolic diseases, antiviral, antibacterial, and neuroscience, developing and implementing clinical pharmacology plans and providing pharmacometric expertise from early to late phase drug development. She has recently contributed to submissions of hematology and oncology assets and is currently focused on the development of antibacterial and antiviral compounds.
