Dave Boulton is currently an Executive Director and Head of Marketed Products and Lifecycle Management in the Clinical Pharmacology and Quantitative Pharmacology Department at AstraZeneca, based in Gaithersburg, MD. In addition to Clinical Pharmacologists and Pharmacometricians, Dave also manages a physiology-based PK (PBPK) modeling group and a Project Management and Business Operations organization. Dave has broad experience in clinical pharmacology and model-based aspects of drug development in numerous therapeutic areas. Upon completion of his Bachelors of Pharmacy, Internship for Pharmacist Registration, and PhD in Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Otago, New Zealand, Dave was a postdoctoral fellow at the Medical University of South Carolina for 4 years. Prior to his current role at AstraZeneca where he has been since 2015, Dave was a Clinical Pharmacologist at Bristol Myers Squibb for 14 years where he held various roles of increasing responsibility. He has been a member of ASCPT since 1997.
