Brian Corrigan is Vice President and Global Head of Clinical Pharmacology at Pfizer in Groton, Connecticut. In these roles, Brian directly oversees the Global Clinical Assay Group, the Global Pharmacometrics Group, and the GPD Clinical Pharmacology organizations, and provides leadership to the Pfizer Global network of Clinical Pharmacology communities.
Brian received his B.Sc, Pharmacy with Distinction from the University of Alberta, Canada (1989), and Ph.D in Pharmacokinetics from the University of Alberta (1996). During his career he has worked at GSK, Hoechst-Marion Roussel, Parke Davis and Pfizer. During his 20 years at Pfizer, Brian’s work has focused on application of Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacometric approaches to facilitate decision making in all stages of drug development, most notably in the neurosciences and pain field, working on Neurontin and Lyrica for pain, and other medicines for neurodegenerative disorders. Brian has authored numerous manuscripts, abstracts and book chapters in the fields of Pharmacometrics and Clinical Pharmacology.
Brian served on the board of the American Society of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (ASCPT). He was President of the International Society of Pharmacometrics (ISoP) in 2016 ,served as Immediate Past-President on the Executive Board for ISoP in 2017, led the ISOP Steering Committee in 2018 and 2019 responsible for the development of the 5 Year Strategic Plan for the society. Brian was Programming Chair for the American Conference on Pharmacometrics (ACoP) 2013. He has served as an editorial reviewer for numerous peer-reviewed journals, including Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, and Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Brian has served on the Editorial Advisory Board for Clinical Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics.
Brian serves on Pfizer's Clinical Trial Diversity Board, which helps medicine teams define and achieve clinical trial diversity goals based on epidemiology, census and investigator site data.
