Shuiying Hu is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Outcomes and Translational Sciences at the Ohio State University (OSU). She obtained her Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from West Virginia University and completed her postdoctoral trainings at Johns Hopkins University and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Shuiying’s research interests include drug development and translational cancer pharmacology, and her current projects are focused on the development of transport modulators that could be used in conjunction with neurotoxic chemotherapy. Her work has been published in Cancer Res, Clin Cancer Res, J Clin Invest, Nature Commun, and PNAS, and is funded by grants from the National Cancer Institute, NIH. Shuiying has presented numerous invited talks at national and international scientific meetings and organizations. She has been a member of ASCPT since 2007 and currently serves as past chair of Membrane Transporter Community. She is the 2021 ASCPT Darrell Abernethy Early Stage Investigator Awardee.
