Dr. Mathangi Gopalakrishnan is Assistant Professor at the Center for Translational Medicine, School of Pharmacy, University of Maryland since 2013. She obtained her Masters in Pharmacy from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, India and her Ph.D in statistics from University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Dr. Gopalakrishnan is a quantitative clinical pharmacologist and statistician by training with more than 9 years’ experience using innovative quantitative approaches to better inform decision making in clinical therapeutics and drug development. Some of her research areas include neonatal opioid withdrawal syndrome, neuro-psychiatry and medical countermeasure development. She has authored about 35 peer-reviewed publications and was the recipient of American College of Clinical Pharmacy’s Best teacher award in 2018.
